A cool but sunny weekend.

Hi Everyone!
We have been lucky with the weather here in the Midlands this last weekend haven't we?

Me and my mum and dad spent the warmest part of Saturday pottering in the garden.  Actually they pottered and I ran round like a mad thing and whinged until mum gave me some toys to play with!
Me and my beloved 'Holey-Moley' toy - third favourite toy after red Kong and black Kong!

On Sunday we went for a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal - Knowle Locks, which was rather lovely. They forgot the camera so you will have to believe how well I behaved (most of the time) without any proof!

I even got to sit out in a pub garden for 20 minutes whilst mum and dad had a cup of tea (they were testing my 'pub dog' skills.  I woofed once, so I got 5/10 must do better!

A break through?

Afternoon All,

I am having a snoozy day today.  Dad and Mum are on their computers and I am happily lay between them, dozing on the top of the stairs.

Yesterday was a big day for us all. Mum's sister and family came to stay again and this time, once I had calmed down a bit, I was allowed out of the kitchen with no lead (just my indoor muzzle) and I managed to be good and settle down all evening.

OK - there were a couple of times when people moved unexpectedly, or made strange noises that I had to rush over and investigate and I did jump up a couple of times and woof.  But, all things considered - I am showing improvement!

Nice walking weekend

Hello All,
As you know I am not brilliant at walking to heel, being nice to passers by, putting my feet in water, (the list goes on says mum!).
However, this weekend I am showing great improvement.  Mum and Dad have started to let me have a longer lead when we are in open spaces and clip it to my harness instead of my collar.  It almost feels like being off the lead and I am enjoying it.

On Saturday we walked down by Sarehole Mill and Cole Valley and on Sunday we walked along part of the Rea Valley Cycle Route and onto the Canal - which is a weird straight river without any gurgley bits! Not so much fun as the River Cole but still a nice long walk.

Believe it or not - I got my feet wet in the River and went into the water nearly up to my tummy.  I walked in by myself!

Mum and Dad are quite relieved that I am getting better at being wet, as apparently there is lots of wet stuff in Cornwall where we are going on holiday soon.

This bit was quite deep and dad wouldn't let me jump in.... I was considering it!

Getting some rest before dog class tonight

Hi all,
I have just spent a good half hour munching on a hide bone that mum had sawn in half for me;  (I am assuming I get the other half soon - maybe tomorrow?).

After all that concentrated effort, a big burp and a good slurp of water, I am in need of a snooze.  Here I am relaxing whilst mum is computer working.

She thought I wasn't paying attention.....

.....but my foxy ears miss very little!

BIG snow!

Well we have all had a bit of the snowy stuff now haven't we?  Thursday night it started and we had a big pile of it when we woke up on Friday morning!  By Friday afternoon we had nearly 15cm (said mum who kept measuring it!).

I do get excited about going out and race up and down the garden.  To start with I just wanted to eat it and kept biting it - but it was too cold - especially on my nose!

The other problem we had was that wearing my snozz [muzzle] out on walks was a bit difficult as it collected lots of snow! Brrr!

Have had a great couple of days though, bouncing around, chasing foxy sniffs, snow ball chasing.  All brilliant fun!

First Snow!

Hi All,
Just catching up with my news after a hectic week!  Sunday night (13th) white stuff was coming down out of the sky! Really strange.  I went out to have a good sniff.

Thing is... it tasted lovely...I kept trying to lick it and eat it...but it melted away each time I licked it!

Christmas presents don't last long do they?

Hello everyone,

A Happy New Year to you all!

I was contemplating my presents from Christmas and how much I had enjoyed them all... but how they don't last very long.
My rubber ring is now a U shape; my broken squeaky balls removed and 'disappeared' from sight (bin?); my treats mostly eaten - though I think mum and dad have rationed them fairly well to make them eek out a bit longer; my rag-pull rope is all straggly and chewed, and as for Mr Snorty Pig......

Well the less said the better.

He doesn't snort anymore.
