Merry Christmas All

Hi Everyone,
Things are different this weekend. Music is playing, pretty lights twinkle on the fireplace and above the kitchen cupboard.  There is lots of food around and comings and goings of friends (AND I have managed to be quite good and chilled about it all so far).
Having dutifully sat for a photo-shoot yesterday, after my coat was brushed to a shine and most of the mud removed from my feet, I thought I would share the results with you.
This was the best of the first set of pictures. Is the tree small, or just far away? (A Father Ted joke for you there!)
This was the chosen photo for my Christmas 2013 album.  I hope you like it.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Lashings of turkey and big snuffles of pastry crumbs (my favourite treat).
Lots of love xxxx

    1. Thank you for following Rudi's blog and being so supportive. Sadly we have had to return Rudi to the Dogs Trust as we have been unable to manage his unpredictable behaviour, which has caused a few very close calls. We are very upset about this (even typing this now has brought on a few tears) as we very much hoped we could help him to settle into a more normal life and not be so stressed. He has gone back to the behaviourists that know him and will continue to work with him. We hope one day he will succeed in trusting people enough to no longer be a potential danger to them. We love him and miss him, but had to return to a life that we had become isolated from. Helen & Ian x

  2. So sorry to hear about Rudi, you must be devastated. It is so very hard to have to admit defeat but sometimes it just has to be. There is no point in having an unhappy dog and to also end up being unhappy yourselves. You have given him well over a year, so it would seem that the poor pup just has so much baggage that he cannot let himself be loved.
I do hope that a new dog will find you sometime and you can have a happier Roddy style relationship. He always looked such a sweetie, though I am sure he had his moments! He was a Lab after all.
    Best wishes Sandra
