In the Woods!

Last few pics of my holiday!
One of the days, Dad wanted to find out how my off-lead walking and recall would be if I was on dry land for a change.  So we decided to go to some forest trails and see if I liked being in the woods as much as the beach.
Getting a sniff of something exciting!

Hello! I am cute, even wearing a snozz! (don't you think?).

Just about to race off down the forest trail!

It really has been a fantastic week - I hope you enjoyed my pictures!

Beach after beach!

Hoping not to bore you all too much, but I have to share my holiday snaps!
These are some of the beaches I visited:-
Widemouth Bay, Padstow, Hayle, Gwithian, lost of different bays on the way to Newquay and Rock.
 With my 'dad'.
 Displaying good 'recall'.
The end of the sea is often frothy!
I hope my tail tells you how happy I was there!
Mmmm I just wanted to dig at Rock!
This was a cloudy day, yet we still walked about 10 miles along coast paths and seasides to Newquay and back again.
Can't remember what I was trying to find in the water!
This was a sunny day at Padstow I think, where the fishy chef lives.
Happy, happy days. can't wait to go again!

My First Proper Holiday Cottage!

Hi Everyone,
Just back from a fantastic week away by a place called Seaside in Cornwall.  It had lots and lots of funny tasting water that caught me out every time I tried to get a drink!

Anyway..... we stayed in a different house to normal, down the motorway.  I was a bit rubbish in the car, which really annoyed dad, but in the house I was very well behaved indeed.  Mostly because I was tired out from all the walking and running around!!).

Here are a few pictures of me relaxing and enjoying my holiday home:-
Waiting in the dining room area.

Just finished my tea in the kitchen.

A snooze early evening soon became the norm.

Ahem, a snore late evening was a must!

Note my lovely sandy toes from the beach!

Snuggly and cosy!

Hi All,
Mum was changing the bed and while she was remaking with fresh sheets, she left the sheets taken off in a big pile ready to take down to the wash.

I couldn't resist trying them out.... what a cosy little cushioned bed I made, next to the radiator.

When mum laughed at me, I got up and turned round to resettle...with my back to the camera!

Sometimes my blog gives me no privacy at all!! Zzz Zzz.

A cool but sunny weekend.

Hi Everyone!
We have been lucky with the weather here in the Midlands this last weekend haven't we?

Me and my mum and dad spent the warmest part of Saturday pottering in the garden.  Actually they pottered and I ran round like a mad thing and whinged until mum gave me some toys to play with!
Me and my beloved 'Holey-Moley' toy - third favourite toy after red Kong and black Kong!

On Sunday we went for a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal - Knowle Locks, which was rather lovely. They forgot the camera so you will have to believe how well I behaved (most of the time) without any proof!

I even got to sit out in a pub garden for 20 minutes whilst mum and dad had a cup of tea (they were testing my 'pub dog' skills.  I woofed once, so I got 5/10 must do better!

A break through?

Afternoon All,

I am having a snoozy day today.  Dad and Mum are on their computers and I am happily lay between them, dozing on the top of the stairs.

Yesterday was a big day for us all. Mum's sister and family came to stay again and this time, once I had calmed down a bit, I was allowed out of the kitchen with no lead (just my indoor muzzle) and I managed to be good and settle down all evening.

OK - there were a couple of times when people moved unexpectedly, or made strange noises that I had to rush over and investigate and I did jump up a couple of times and woof.  But, all things considered - I am showing improvement!

Nice walking weekend

Hello All,
As you know I am not brilliant at walking to heel, being nice to passers by, putting my feet in water, (the list goes on says mum!).
However, this weekend I am showing great improvement.  Mum and Dad have started to let me have a longer lead when we are in open spaces and clip it to my harness instead of my collar.  It almost feels like being off the lead and I am enjoying it.

On Saturday we walked down by Sarehole Mill and Cole Valley and on Sunday we walked along part of the Rea Valley Cycle Route and onto the Canal - which is a weird straight river without any gurgley bits! Not so much fun as the River Cole but still a nice long walk.

Believe it or not - I got my feet wet in the River and went into the water nearly up to my tummy.  I walked in by myself!

Mum and Dad are quite relieved that I am getting better at being wet, as apparently there is lots of wet stuff in Cornwall where we are going on holiday soon.

This bit was quite deep and dad wouldn't let me jump in.... I was considering it!
